A College Senior hits a home run to win the game in the bottom of the last inning. The team that got beat was the best team in the Conference and got knocked out of the NCAA playoffs (not entirely sure about that). The girl blows her knee out and if she cannot run the bases the home run will not count. Her team cannot help her or touch her in any way or she will be called out.
So.....
The team that got beat, and got knocked out of the playoffs, picks her up, and carries her around the bases stopping at each so she can complete her "home run trot".

Our Online registration for the 2008 Volleyball Season is now open. Our in person dates are currently set for Tuesday, July 15 and Friday, July 18 from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. (Franklin Loebe Center). The late date has changed to July 21. Please note that there will be a $50 late fee per girl beginning on that date. Volleyball is open to Girls fourth grade through High School. Fourth grade teams are formed by the Commissioner and Fifth Grade through High School will be formed by the draft process. Practices will begin in September after Labor Day with games beginning in October and ending around Thanksgiving.

Lightning Detection System
The following procedures should occur regarding the lightning detection system.
If the system is active for the 5:30/6:30 p.m. games, and the weather conditions are favorable (no rain), we should wait until 30 minutes into the game before calling the game. If after 30 minutes, the all clear signal has not sounded, the games will be cancelled and we will wait out the next game slot. If at 8:30 p.m. the all clear has not sounded the games would be cancelled and the complex shutdown for the evening. This applies to soccer fields also. Lights will not be extended for games that are started with a delay due to the lightning detection system.
All players, coaches and umpires must adhere to the rules. Teams should seek shelter under pavilions and/or their car.
This also applies to weekend games. Games are not pushed back but cancelled once the 30 minut time has elapsed.
If the Lightning Detection system is active and the weather system is producing rain, the above policy will not apply and games will be cancelled at the discretion of the complex staff and supervisor.

- SOFTBALL
- OYA Girls Softball begins with practices in March, games beginning at the end of April/May and runs through June. Softball is open to girls Pre-K through High School. Registration for Softball usually occurs in January/February.
- LIGHTNING
- OYA Girls Lightning Softball begins with practices in June and runs through the month of July. Lightning is our only sport in which one must try-out. We have 10U, 12U & 14U teams. Try-Outs for Lightning occur in May.
- VOLLEYBALL
- OYA Girls Volleyball begins with practices in September, games beginning in October and runs through November. Volleyball is open to girls Fourth Grade through High School. Registration for Volleyball usually occurs in July/August.
- BASKETBALL
- OYA Girls Basketball begins with practices in December, games beginning in January and runs through March. Basketball is open to girls Third Grade through High School. Registration for Basketball usually occurs in October.
